20 For after I have brought them[a] to the land I promised to their[b] ancestors—one flowing with milk and honey—and they[c] eat their fill[d] and become fat, then they[e] will turn to other gods and worship them; they will reject me and break my covenant. 21 Then when[f] many disasters and distresses overcome them[g] this song will testify against them,[h] for their[i] descendants will not forget it.[j] I know the[k] intentions they have in mind[l] today, even before I bring them[m] to the land I have promised.” 22 So on that day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites,
