²⁹ Blessed are you, Israel!^(A)
    Who is like you,^(B)
    a people saved by the Lord?^(C)
He is your shield and helper^(D)
    and your glorious sword.
Your enemies will cower before you,
    and you will tread on their heights.^(E)”

³     my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,^(A)
    my shield^[a](B) and the horn^[b](C) of my salvation.
He is my stronghold,^(D) my refuge and my savior—
    from violent people you save me.

³¹ “As for God, his way is perfect:^(A)
    The Lord’s word is flawless;^(B)
    he shields^(C) all who take refuge in him.

³ But you, Lord, are a shield^(A) around me,
    my glory, the One who lifts my head high.^(B)

¹² Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;^(A)
    you surround them^(B) with your favor as with a shield.^(C)
