Moses was one hundred and twenty years old(A) when he died, yet his eyes were undimmed and his vigor unabated. The Israelites wept for Moses in the plains of Moab for thirty days, till they had completed the period of grief and mourning for Moses.

Now Joshua, son of Nun,(B) was filled with the spirit of wisdom, since Moses had laid his hands upon him; and so the Israelites gave him their obedience, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Moses was a hundred and twenty years old(A) when he died, yet his eyes were not weak(B) nor his strength gone.(C) The Israelites grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab(D) thirty days,(E) until the time of weeping and mourning(F) was over.

Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit[a] of wisdom(G) because Moses had laid his hands on him.(H) So the Israelites listened to him and did what the Lord had commanded Moses.
