22 You will cross the Jordan to occupy the land, but I will not. Instead, I will die here on the east side of the river. 23 So be careful not to break the covenant the Lord your God has made with you. Do not make idols of any shape or form, for the Lord your God has forbidden this. 24 The Lord your God is a devouring fire; he is a jealous God.

22 I will die in this land;(A) I will not cross the Jordan; but you are about to cross over and take possession of that good land.(B) 23 Be careful not to forget the covenant(C) of the Lord your God that he made with you; do not make for yourselves an idol(D) in the form of anything the Lord your God has forbidden. 24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire,(E) a jealous God.(F)
