Deuteronomy 4:31-33
New King James Version
31 (for the Lord your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor (A)destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.
32 “For (B)ask now concerning the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask (C)from one end of heaven to the other, whether any great thing like this has happened, or anything like it has been heard. 33 (D)Did any people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

31 For the Lord your God is a merciful(A) God; he will not abandon(B) or destroy(C) you or forget(D) the covenant with your ancestors, which he confirmed to them by oath.
The Lord Is God
32 Ask(E) now about the former days, long before your time, from the day God created human beings on the earth;(F) ask from one end of the heavens to the other.(G) Has anything so great(H) as this ever happened, or has anything like it ever been heard of? 33 Has any other people heard the voice of God[a] speaking out of fire, as you have, and lived?(I)
