Deuteronomy 5:3-5

3 Not with our fathers did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive this day. 4 The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the midst of the fire, 5 while I stood between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord; for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up into the mountain. 3 It was not with our ancestors[a] that the Lord made this covenant, but with us,(A) with all of us who are alive here today.(B) 4 The Lord spoke(C) to you face to face(D) out of the fire(E) on the mountain. 5 (At that time I stood between(F) the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord, because you were afraid(G) of the fire and did not go up the mountain.)
