4 The Lord himself spoke to you out of the fire, 5 but you were afraid of the fire and refused to go up the mountain. So I spoke with the Lord for you, then I told you that he had said:

6 I am the Lord your God, the one who brought you out of Egypt where you were slaves.

4 The Lord spoke(A) to you face to face(B) out of the fire(C) on the mountain. 5 (At that time I stood between(D) the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord, because you were afraid(E) of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:

6 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt,(F) out of the land of slavery.(G)
