4 The Lord talked with you [a]face to face in the Mount, out of the midst of the fire.

5 (At that time I stood between the Lord and you, to declare unto you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid at the sight of the fire, and went not up into the mount) and he said,

6 (A)I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of [b]bondage.

4 The Lord spoke(A) to you face to face(B) out of the fire(C) on the mountain. 5 (At that time I stood between(D) the Lord and you to declare to you the word of the Lord, because you were afraid(E) of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:

6 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt,(F) out of the land of slavery.(G)
