Deuteronomy 5:3-5

^3 (A)The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, all ^[a]of us who are alive here today. ⁴ The Lord spoke with you ^(B)face to face at the mountain ^(C)from the midst of the fire, ⁵ while ^(D)I was standing between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord; ^(E)for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up on the mountain. ^[b]He said,
