17 You must actively obey him in everything he commands. 18 Only then will you be doing what is right and good in the Lord’s eyes. If you obey him, all will go well for you, and you will be able to go in and possess the good land that the Lord promised your ancestors. 19 You will also be able to throw out all the enemies living in your land, as the Lord agreed to help you do.

17 Be sure to keep(A) the commands of the Lord your God and the stipulations and decrees he has given you.(B) 18 Do what is right and good in the Lord’s sight,(C) so that it may go well(D) with you and you may go in and take over the good land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors, 19 thrusting out all your enemies(E) before you, as the Lord said.
