Deuteronomy 7:21-23
New English Translation
21 You must not tremble in their presence, for the Lord your God, who is present among you, is a great and awesome God. 22 He,[a] the God who leads you, will expel the nations little by little. You will not be allowed to destroy them all at once lest the wild animals overrun you. 23 The Lord your God will give them over to you; he will throw them into a great panic[b] until they are destroyed.

21 Do not be terrified by them, for the Lord your God, who is among you,(A) is a great and awesome God.(B) 22 The Lord your God will drive out those nations before you, little by little.(C) You will not be allowed to eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals will multiply around you. 23 But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you, throwing them into great confusion until they are destroyed.(D)
