Deuteronomy 7:5-7
International Standard Version
5 This is what you are to do to them: tear down their altars, break their pillars, cut down their ritual pillars, and burn their carved idols in fire, 6 because you are a holy people to the Lord your God. The Lord your God chose you to be his people, his treasured possession from all the nations[a] on the face of the earth.”

7 “It wasn’t because you were more numerous than other nations[b] of the earth that the Lord committed himself to you and chose you. In fact, you were the least numerous of all the nations.[c]

Deuteronomy 7:5-7
New International Version
5 This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles[a](A) and burn their idols in the fire.(B) 6 For you are a people holy(C) to the Lord your God.(D) The Lord your God has chosen(E) you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.(F)
7 The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous(G) than other peoples, for you were the fewest(H) of all peoples.(I)
