⁸ But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹⁵ Only the Lord had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

⁸ He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

²³ The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

¹¹ By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

⁹ When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

¹¹ The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

²⁰ They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

⁴ Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
