Deuteronomy 9:11-13

11 It came about (A)at the end of forty days and nights that the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant. 12 (B)Then the Lord said to me, ‘Arise, go down from here quickly, for your people whom you brought out of Egypt have acted corruptly. They have (C)quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them; they have made a molten image for themselves.’ 13 The (D)Lord spoke further to me, saying, ‘I have seen this people, and indeed, it is a [a](E)stubborn people.

New International Version
11 At the end of the forty days and forty nights,(A) the Lord gave me the two stone tablets,(B) the tablets of the covenant. 12 Then the Lord told me, “Go down from here at once, because your people whom you brought out of Egypt have become corrupt.(C) They have turned away quickly(D) from what I commanded them and have made an idol for themselves.”
13 And the Lord said to me, “I have seen this people(E), and they are a stiff-necked people indeed!
