⁴⁸ you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, ^(A)in hunger, thirst, nakedness, and devoid of all things; and He ^(B)will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.

³ And it will be on the day when the Lord gives you ^(A)rest from your hardship, your turmoil, and from the harsh service in which you have been enslaved,

¹² I spoke words like all these to ^(A)Zedekiah king of Judah, saying, “Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him and his people, and live! ¹³ Why should you ^(B)die, you and your people, by the sword, famine, and plague, as the Lord has spoken to the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
