¹² It is not in heaven so that you have to ask, ‘Who will go up to heaven, get it for us, and proclaim it to us so that we may follow it?’

⁶² Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man^(A) ascending^(B) to where he was before?

³⁴ For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says:

⁶ But the righteousness that comes from faith^(A) speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, “Who will go up to heaven?”^[a](B) that is, to bring Christ down

⁴⁷ The first man was from the earth, a man of dust;^(A) the second man is^[a] from heaven.

⁸ For it says:

⁹ But what does “he ascended” mean except that he^[b] also descended to the lower parts of the earth?^{[c](C) 10} The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens,^(D) to fill all things.^(E)

¹² Then they heard^[a] a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” They went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies watched them.^(A)
