¹⁵ for ^(A)the Lord your God in your midst ^(B)is a jealous God—^(C)lest the anger of the Lord your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

²⁰ but for a whole month, ^(A)until it comes out at your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you, because you have rejected the Lord who is among you and have wept before him, saying, ^(B)“Why did we come out of Egypt?”’”

¹⁴ and they will tell the inhabitants of this land. ^(A)They have heard that you, O Lord, are in the midst of this people. For you, O Lord, are seen face to face, and ^(B)your cloud stands over them and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

¹⁰ And Joshua said, “Here is how you shall know that ^(A)the living God is among you and that he will without fail ^(B)drive out from before you the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Hivites, the Perizzites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, and the Jebusites.
