Common English Bible
14 I know that whatever God does will last forever; it’s impossible to add to it or take away from it. God has done this so that people are reverent before him.[a] 15 Whatever happens has already happened, and whatever will happen has already happened before. And God looks after what is driven away.[b]
Enjoy what you do now
16 I saw something else under the sun: in the place of justice, there was wickedness; and in the place of what was right, there was wickedness again!

14 I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.(A)
15 Whatever is has already been,(B)
and what will be has been before;(C)
and God will call the past to account.[a]
16 And I saw something else under the sun:
In the place of judgment—wickedness was there,
in the place of justice—wickedness was there.
