¹⁸It is good that you hang on to one alternative, but do not let go of the other, for one who fears God will avoid both extremes.^[a]

¹⁹Wisdom makes one wise man stronger than ten rulers who are in the city.

²⁰There is surely not a righteous man on earth who does good and does not sin.

¹⁸It is good to grasp the one
and not let go of the other.
Whoever fears God^(A) will avoid all extremes.^[a]

¹⁹Wisdom^(B) makes one wise person more powerful^(C)
than ten rulers in a city.

²⁰Indeed, there is no one on earth who is righteous,^(D)
