29 After all, nobody ever hates his own flesh: he feeds it and takes care of it, just as the Messiah does with the church, 30 because we are parts of his body. 31 “That’s why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh.”

29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body.(A) 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”[a](B)
