5 Slaves, be obedient to those that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as unto the Christ,

4 Fathers,[b] do not exasperate your children;(B) instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.(C)
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect(D) and fear, and with sincerity of heart,(E) just as you would obey Christ.(F)
