Esther 2:2-4
New English Translation
2 The king’s servants who attended him said, “Let a search be conducted on the king’s behalf for attractive young women.[a] 3 And let the king appoint officers throughout all the provinces of his kingdom to gather all the attractive young women to Susa the citadel, to the harem[b] under the authority of Hegai, the king’s eunuch who oversees the women, and let him provide whatever cosmetics they desire.[c] 4 Let the young woman whom the king finds most attractive[d] become queen in place of Vashti.” This seemed like a good idea to the king,[e] so he acted accordingly.

Esther 2:2-4
New International Version
2 Then the king’s personal attendants proposed, “Let a search be made for beautiful young virgins for the king. 3 Let the king appoint commissioners in every province of his realm to bring all these beautiful young women into the harem at the citadel of Susa. Let them be placed under the care of Hegai, the king’s eunuch, who is in charge of the women; and let beauty treatments be given to them. 4 Then let the young woman who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti.” This advice appealed to the king, and he followed it.
