Exodus 13:18-20

18 But God made the people to go about by the way of the wilderness of the red sea: and the children of Israel went up [a]armed out of the land of Egypt.
19 (And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had made the children of Israel swear, saying, (A)God will surely visit you, and ye shall take my bones away hence with you.)
20 ¶ (B)So they took their journey from Succoth, and camped in Etham in the edge of the wilderness.

New International Version
18 So God led(A) the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.[a] The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.(B)
19 Moses took the bones of Joseph(C) with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.”[b](D)
20 After leaving Sukkoth(E) they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert.(F)
