18 Then the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I receive honor by means of[a] Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

19 Then the angel of God, who was going in front of the camp of Israel, moved behind them. The pillar of cloud also[b] moved from in front of them and stood behind them, 20 coming between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. The cloud remained there even[c] in the darkness,[d] illuminating the night, so that the one side did not come near the other all night.

19 Then the angel of God,(B) who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud(C) also moved from in front and stood behind(D) them, 20 coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness(E) to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.

19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
