Exodus 14:18-20

¹⁸Then the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I receive honor by means of^[a] Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

¹⁹Then the angel of God, who was going in front of the camp of Israel, moved behind them. The pillar of cloud also^[b] moved from in front of them and stood behind them, ²⁰coming between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. The cloud remained there even^[c] in the darkness,^[d] illuminating the night, so that the one side did not come near the other all night.

¹⁸The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord^(A) when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.”

¹⁹Then the angel of God,^(B) who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud^(C) also moved from in front and stood behind^(D) them, ²⁰coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness^(E) to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.

¹⁸And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

¹⁹And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

²⁰And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
