^(B)They sank like lead in the ^[a]mighty waters.

¹⁵ Behold, He ^(A)restrains the waters, and they dry up;
And He ^(B)sends them out, and they overturn the earth.

²⁷ It is I who says to the depth of the sea, ‘Be dried up!’
And I will make your rivers ^(A)dry.

In ^(A)whirlwind and storm is His way,
And ^(B)clouds are the dust beneath His feet.

⁴ He ^(C)rebukes the sea and makes it dry;
He dries up all the rivers.
^(D)Bashan and Carmel languish;
The blossoms of Lebanon languish.
