22 (A)The sons of Israel [a]went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and (B)the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. 23 Then (C)the Egyptians took up the pursuit, and all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots and his horsemen went in after them into the midst of the sea. 24 At the morning watch, (D)the Lord looked down on the [b]army of the Egyptians [c]through the pillar of fire and cloud and brought the [d]army of the Egyptians into confusion.

New International Version
22 and the Israelites went through the sea(A) on dry ground,(B) with a wall(C) of water on their right and on their left.
23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen(D) followed them into the sea. 24 During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud(E) at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.(F)
