18 The Lord will ·be king [reign] forever!”
19 The horses, chariot drivers, and chariots of ·the king of Egypt [L Pharaoh] went into the sea, and the Lord ·covered them with [L returned on them the] water from the sea. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry land. 20 Then Aaron’s sister Miriam, a prophetess, took a tambourine in her hand. All the women followed her, playing tambourines and dancing.

18 “The Lord reigns
for ever and ever.”(A)
19 When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen[a] went into the sea,(B) the Lord brought the waters of the sea back over them, but the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.(C) 20 Then Miriam(D) the prophet,(E) Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels(F) and dancing.(G)
