18 [a]But when they measured it out by the omer, the one who had gathered a large amount did not have too much, and the one who had gathered a small amount did not have too little. They gathered as much as each needed to eat. 19 Moses said to them, “Let no one leave any of it over until morning.” 20 But they did not listen to Moses, and some kept a part of it over until morning, and it became wormy and stank. Therefore Moses was angry with them.

New International Version
18 And when they measured it by the omer, the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.(A) Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed.
19 Then Moses said to them, “No one is to keep any of it until morning.”(B)
20 However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell.(C) So Moses was angry(D) with them.
