¹² Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law,^(A) brought a burnt offering^(B) and other sacrifices^(C) to God, and Aaron came with all the elders of Israel to eat a meal^(D) with Moses’ father-in-law in the presence^(E) of God.

¹⁵ The elders^(A) of the community are to lay their hands^(B) on the bull’s head^(C) before the Lord, and the bull shall be slaughtered before the Lord.^(D)

The Priests Begin Their Ministry

9 On the eighth day^(A) Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders^(B) of Israel.

²⁵ Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel^(A) followed him.
