Exodus 18:22-24
Lexham English Bible
22 And let them judge the people all the time, and[a] every major issue they will bring to you, and every minor issue they will judge themselves. And so lighten it for yourself, and they will bear it with you. 23 If you will do this thing and God will command you, then you will be able to endure, and also each of the people will go to his home[b] in peace.”
24 And Moses listened to the voice of his father-in-law, and he did all that he had said.

Exodus 18:22-24
New International Version
22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case(A) to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share(B) it with you. 23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied.”
24 Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said.
