¹⁰ and the Lord told Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. They must wash their clothes^(A)

¹⁸ “Tell the people: Consecrate yourselves in readiness for tomorrow, and you will eat meat because you wept in the Lord’s hearing, ‘Who will feed us meat? We were better off in Egypt.’ The Lord will give you meat and you will eat.

¹³ “Go and consecrate the people. Tell them to consecrate themselves for tomorrow,^(A) for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There are things that are set apart among you, Israel. You will not be able to stand against your enemies until you remove what is set apart.

⁵ “In peace,” he replied. “I’ve come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves^(A) and come with me to the sacrifice.”^[a] Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

¹² He said to them, “You are the heads of the Levite families. You and your relatives must consecrate yourselves^(A) so that you may bring the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it.^(B)

⁵ He said to them, “Hear me, Levites. Consecrate yourselves^(A) now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors. Remove everything impure from the holy place.

³ because they were not able to observe it at the appropriate time. Not enough of the priests had consecrated themselves,^(A) and the people hadn’t been gathered together in Jerusalem.

¹⁷ for there were many in the assembly who had not consecrated themselves, and so the Levites were in charge of slaughtering the Passover lambs for every unclean person to consecrate the lambs to the Lord.^(A)

⁶ Slaughter the Passover lambs,^(A) consecrate yourselves,^(B) and make preparations for your brothers to carry out the word of the Lord through Moses.”
