10 And the Lord told Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. They must wash their clothes(A) 11 and be prepared by the third day, for on the third day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.(B) 12 Put boundaries for the people all around the mountain and say: Be careful that you don’t go up on the mountain or touch its base. Anyone who touches the mountain will be put to death.(C)

Have them wash their clothes(B) 11 and be ready by the third day,(C) because on that day the Lord will come down(D) on Mount Sinai(E) in the sight of all the people. 12 Put limits(F) for the people around the mountain and tell them, ‘Be careful that you do not approach the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain is to be put to death.
