Yahweh Descends on Mount Sinai
18 (A)Now Mount Sinai was all in smoke because Yahweh descended upon it (B)in fire; and its smoke ascended like (C)the smoke of a furnace, and (D)the whole mountain trembled violently. 19 And the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder; then Moses spoke and (E)God answered him with [a]thunder. 20 (F)And Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

New International Version
18 Mount Sinai was covered with smoke,(A) because the Lord descended on it in fire.(B) The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace,(C) and the whole mountain[a] trembled(D) violently. 19 As the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and the voice(E) of God answered(F) him.[b]
20 The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai(G) and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up
