19 The sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder. Moses spoke and God responded with the sound of a trumpet.
20 The Lord thus descended upon Mount Sinai, on the mountain peak, and he called out to Moses upon the mountain peak. Moses went up the mountain.
21 The Lord said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people not to break through to gaze upon the Lord; otherwise many will die.

19 As the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and the voice(A) of God answered(B) him.[a]
20 The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai(C) and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up 21 and the Lord said to him, “Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see(D) the Lord and many of them perish.(E)
