20 The Lord came down on Mount Sinai at the top of the mountain. Then the Lord summoned Moses to the top of the mountain, and he went up. 21 The Lord directed Moses, “Go down and warn the people not to break through to see the Lord; otherwise many of them will die.(A) 22 Even the priests who come near the Lord must purify themselves or the Lord will break out in anger against them.”(B)

20 The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai(A) and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up 21 and the Lord said to him, “Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see(B) the Lord and many of them perish.(C) 22 Even the priests, who approach(D) the Lord, must consecrate(E) themselves, or the Lord will break out against them.”(F)
