¹⁵ When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But ^(A)Moses fled from ^[a]the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of ^(B)Midian; and he sat down by ^(C)a well.

²¹ Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave ^(A)Zipporah his daughter to Moses.

²² And she bore him a son. He called his name ^(A)Gershom,^[a] for he said, “I have been ^(B)a ^[b]stranger in a foreign land.”

²⁰ Then Moses ^(A)took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took ^(B)the rod of God in his hand.

³ with her ^(A)two sons, of whom the name of one was ^[a]Gershom (for he said, ^(B)“I have been a ^[b]stranger in a foreign land”)
