Exodus 2:22-24

22 She bore a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, “I have been a sojourner[a] in a foreign land.”
23 In the course of those many days the king of Egypt died. And the people of Israel groaned under their bondage, and cried out for help, and their cry under bondage came up to God. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

New International Version
22 Zipporah gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom,[a](A) saying, “I have become a foreigner(B) in a foreign land.”
23 During that long period,(C) the king of Egypt died.(D) The Israelites groaned in their slavery(E) and cried out, and their cry(F) for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered(G) his covenant(H) with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.
