¹² “^(A)Honor your father and your mother, that your ^(B)days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you.

³ Every one of you ^(A)shall reverence his mother and his father, and you shall keep ^(B)My sabbaths; ^(C)I am the Lord your God.

¹⁶ ‘^(A)Cursed is he who dishonors his father or mother.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

⁴ For God said, ‘^(A)Honor your father and mother,’ and, ‘^(B)He who speaks evil of father or mother is to ^[a]be put to death.’

^19 (A)Honor your father and mother; and ^(B)You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

^2 (A)Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), ³ so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.

^20 (A)Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing ^[a]to the Lord.
