^5 (A)You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, Yahweh your God, am a ^(B)jealous God, ^(C)visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,

⁶ Behold, it is written before Me:
I will ^(A)not keep silent, but ^(B)I will repay;
I will even repay into their bosom,
⁷ Both ^[a]their own ^(C)iniquities and the iniquities of their fathers together,” says Yahweh.
“Because they have ^(D)burned incense on the mountains
And ^(E)reproached Me on the hills,
Therefore I will ^(F)measure their former work into their bosom.”
