⁷Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and those in the right, for I will not acquit the guilty.^(A)

New International Version

⁷Have nothing to do with a false charge^(A) and do not put an innocent^(B) or honest person to death,^(C) for I will not acquit the guilty.^(D)

⁸You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds officials and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.^(A)

⁸“Do not accept a bribe,^(A) for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.
