16 The glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day He called to Moses from the cloud.(A) 17 The appearance of the Lord’s glory to the Israelites was like a consuming fire(B) on the mountaintop. 18 Moses entered the cloud as he went up the mountain, and he remained on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights.(C)

16 and the glory(A) of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai.(B) For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.(C) 17 To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire(D) on top of the mountain. 18 Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty(E) days and forty nights.(F)
