16 The glory of Adonai settled upon Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. Then on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 The appearance of the glory of Adonai was like a consuming fire[a] on the top of the mountain in the sight of Bnei-Yisrael. 18 So Moses entered into the midst of the cloud and went up onto the mountain. Moses was on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights.

16 and the glory(A) of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai.(B) For six days the cloud covered the mountain, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from within the cloud.(C) 17 To the Israelites the glory of the Lord looked like a consuming fire(D) on top of the mountain. 18 Then Moses entered the cloud as he went on up the mountain. And he stayed on the mountain forty(E) days and forty nights.(F)
