²⁰ Whenever they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die.^(A) Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting a food offering to the Lord,

²¹ they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance^(A) for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”^(B)

¹³ He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover^(A) above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die.^(B)

⁹ “‘The priests are to perform my service^(A) in such a way that they do not become guilty^(B) and die^(C) for treating it with contempt. I am the Lord, who makes them holy.^(D)

⁵¹ Whenever the tabernacle^(A) is to move,^(B) the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it.^(C) Anyone else who approaches it is to be put to death.^(D)
