16 The people of Isra’el are to keep the Shabbat, to observe Shabbat through all their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the people of Isra’el forever; for in six days Adonai made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and rested.’”
(ii) 18 When he had finished speaking with Moshe on Mount Sinai, Adonai gave him the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.

16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath,(A) celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. 17 It will be a sign(B) between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.(C)’”(D)
18 When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai,(E) he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone(F) inscribed by the finger of God.(G)
