18 Then Moses said, “I pray that you will let me see you in all of your glory.”
19 (A) The Lord answered:
All right. I am the Lord, and I show mercy and kindness to anyone I choose. I will let you see my glory and hear my holy name, 20 but I won't let you see my face, because anyone who sees my face will die.

18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”(A)
19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass(B) in front of you, and I will proclaim my name,(C) the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.(D) 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see(E) me and live.”
