21 Also the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by [a]me, and thou shalt stand upon the rock:
22 And while my glory passeth by, I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with mine hand while I pass by.
23 After I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my [b]back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock(A) and cover you with my hand(B) until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
