28 While Moses[a] was there with the Lord for 40 days and 40 nights, he did not eat or drink.[b] He wrote the Ten Commandments, the words of the covenant, on the tablets.
Moses’ Face Shines
29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he had the two tablets in his hand,[c] and he did not know that the skin of his face was ablaze with light because he had been speaking with God.[d] 30 Aaron and all the Israelis saw Moses and immediately noticed that the skin of his face was shining, and they were afraid to come near him.

28 Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights(A) without eating bread or drinking water.(B) And he wrote on the tablets(C) the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.(D)
The Radiant Face of Moses
29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai(E) with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands,(F) he was not aware that his face was radiant(G) because he had spoken with the Lord. 30 When Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, his face was radiant, and they were afraid to come near him.
