Exodus 3:1-3 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)

1 Moses keepeth sheep, and God appeareth unto him in a bush. 10 He sendeth him to deliver the children of Israel. 14 The name of God.

When Moses kept the sheep of Jethro his father-in-law, Priest of Midian, and drove the flock to the [a]back side of the desert, and came to the [b]Mountain of God, [c]Horeb,

Then the Angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a [d]bush, and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

Therefore Moses said, I will turn aside now, and see this great sight, why the bush burneth not.
