Exodus 4:22-24
New Life Version
22 Then say to Pharaoh, ‘The Lord says this: “Israel is My son, My first-born. 23 And I say to you, ‘Let My son go. Let him work for Me.’ But if you will not let him go, I will kill your son, your first-born.”’”
24 The Lord met Moses at a resting place on the way and would have put him to death.

22 Then say to Pharaoh, ‘This is what the Lord says: Israel is my firstborn son,(A) 23 and I told you, “Let my son go,(B) so he may worship(C) me.” But you refused to let him go; so I will kill your firstborn son.’”(D)
24 At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses[a] and was about to kill(E) him.
