36 Throughout their journeys, (A)whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out; 37 but (B)if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up. 38 For throughout their journeys, (C)the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.

36 In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;(A) 37 but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted. 38 So the cloud(B) of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.
