³⁶ Throughout their journeys, ^(A)whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out; ³⁷ but ^(B)if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up. ³⁸ For throughout their journeys, ^(C)the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.

The Tribes Leave Sinai

¹¹ Now in ^(A)the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth of the month, the cloud was lifted from above the ^[a]tabernacle of the testimony; ¹² and the sons of Israel set out on ^(B)their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai. Then the cloud settled in the ^(C)wilderness of Paran.
